Philosopy
Horses are the great joy and passion of my life and it is this love for the animal that forms the foundation of my personal philosophy on teaching people how to ride. To love the horse is to respect him for the unique creature that he is and with this respect comes the desire for perfection as a rider. Only by perfecting one's skill and learning the finesse and sensitivity that accompanies this can an effective working partnership be formed. In this partnership the rider must learn to speak with his body the language of the horse. It is the knowledgeable rider whose mount can realize his full potential and perform his best.

My teaching philosophy stems from my firm commitment to the 'right way' as opposed to the 'fast' or 'easy way.' I refuse to hurry along any student for whatever reason. The basics at each level must be learned before the next level can be attempted. This holds true for both the horse and rider.
